Yes and No. Firstly, yes, absolutely, let go of the fear (whatever happens happens) will let go of anxiety or panic disorder. But as you say you must believe this 100%, not a smidge of hesitation and all goes away. Secondly, no, it’s not a “disease”. It’s a habit, a habit way of thinking. You have to retrain yourself to think “whatever happens happens”. This is not easy, it takes a lot of time and patience, but the more your practice thinking the above, it becomes your new habit.
OMG I LOVE YOUR HONESTY YOUR soo helpful you know that..I have a Fear Of Tinnitus since i have Tinnitus, So whenever i go to sleep or wanna go to sleep it bullies me and i cant do anything about it thats why i have a fear of going to bed Sometimes…what do you do about something like that?
You’re still young with your life ahead of you. Stay strong. I heard good things about oxytocin and about it being a potential cure for shyness and anxiety. The bad news is this “cure” is supposed to be out in 2012. In the meantime I purchased some ‘oxycalm’. When I test it out I will write my findings here. See you.
same here man. im 18 and ive been struggling for about 5 years now. my nerves are going crazy but i try my best to cope. im having an attack right now even as i type this. be strong
I’ve been battling social aniexty for quite some time now. I really envy those people who never had such issues. Some days it gets realy abd and others not so bad. I wish there was a legitimate cure for this. Say popping one pill and you’re cured for life. One can only dream..
@awayfromhome weed gave me anxiety as well. i had no anxiety or panic attacks until one day i was smoking a blunt and i thought i was having a heart attack and was bout to die. after that i still smoked weed for a while and had a panic attack everytime i smoked weed so eventually i quit..but i havent been the same since before i smoked weed but ive learned to live with my anxiety issues…i no longer have panic attacks though..
I read a book one time about anxiety and ppl hurting your feelings. It said that you need to accept that it hurts your feelings and not feel quilty for feeling that way. Because quilt is another thing that can keep the anxiety going. ANd thats its ok to feel hurt. Some ppl are assholes! I just try to accept that and then try to improve my selfesteem so hopefully one day it wont hurt anymore.
It also takes time to retrain your brain to think like this. Ive been useing this method givin to me by my therapist and other books and im slowly getting better. It takes ALOT of time but it works.
